“CANYON OF ADVENTURE” AT LYRIC
Speed, action, thrills and romance are all in “The Canyon of Adventure,” the Ken Maynard feature at the Lyric Theatre. Maynard seems to increase his daring and break-neck riding stunts with each picture, and in this, his latest, he out-rides, out-ropes and out-shoots anything done previously*. The whole picture is excellent entertainment and the scenery and scenic effects are marvellous. Several of the old California Missions and points of historical interest, are used in background for the story* plot of “The Canyon of Adventure.” It tells of old California in the days of the Dons and Senoritas when the lanquid air of the Spanish prevailed throughout the country r . “The Wonderful Lie,” the second feature, is a dramatic and beautifully* produced picture of Continental military life, starring Brigette Helm.
