TE KUITI STATION
ALTERATIONS AUTHORISED From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. Owing to the inadequacy of the present buildings to cope with the increased traffic, the Te Kuiti railway station is to bo extensively altered. Improvements have been contemplated for some time past, and it has now been decided to proceed with, the work within a few weeks’ time. The district railway engineer visited Te Kuiti .recently, and the plans prepared provide for the extension of the station at the north end, and provide for increased accommodation for the clerical department, ticket office, and luggage room. In addition to other improvements several alterations will be carried out at the goods shed, which is situated opposite the station.
