RIVERS STILL RISING
WIDE QUEENSLAND AREAS FLOODED RAIL TRAFFIC STOPPED Reed. 11.30 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. A continuance of the cyclonic conditions in North Queensland in the last two days has resulted in the flooding: of several coastal rivers and large areas of cane country are under water. The water is seven feet over the railway bridge across the Herbert River. All traffic is suspended. Many dead beasts are coming down the Johnstone River. The rain is continuing and tb«j rivers are still rising.
