FOLDING CHAIRS

USEFUL IN SMALL FLATS OFTEN MOST ATTRACTIVE A large supply of comfortable chairs is a necessity in every home, and tc be ideal there should be ample for the family and visitors, too, so that when entertaining guests everyone may be at ease. But in small houses and flats an unlimited supply of divan chairs is clearly impossible, for they take up so much room. An excellent way out of such a difficulty is provided by the introduction of some new and comfortable collapsible chairs. They a|e made on the principle of the

square canvas garden chairs that have proved so popular during the last two seasons. But instead of being upholstered with canvas they are covered with furnishing velvet or moquette. They are available in all designs and colours, so that it is possible to have them to link up with any existing furnishing scheme. When their room rather than their use is required, the chairs fold quite flat and store in a cupboard or anywhere else that may be convenient. Apart from ordinary use they are specially convenient for bridge parties The players are provided with absolute comfort in a chair that is in every way suitable for this purpose. For bridge playing the chairs are obtainable upholstered in black velvet, and the card table is covered to match. If desired, a flap of about ten inches wide is fitted to the right-hand side of the chair. This forms a convenient ledge on which to rest glasses, book, or needleworks
