GIRL GUIDES’ CORNER
Tbe Auckland representatives who are attending the Dominion camp at Wellington, left for tbe South on Monday evening. The camp is being held in the grounds of the Trentham racecourse from January 7 to January 17, and the rally in connection with the camp will take place next Saturday. A conference of Commissioners is also being held. ♦ * * It is now compulsory for Guides to wear the Provincial Badge of their individual provinces on the left shoulder, above the name tape of their company. Badges are procurable at Dominion Headquarters, and the price is sixpence. The January issue of “The Dominion Girl Guide” contains a New Year’s message for all Guides and Guiders from the Chief Commissioner and also a full-page portrait ot Mrs. Studholm, Provincial Commissioner for Canterbury. Company notes, nature notes, poems and Items of general interest to Guides all go to make up an attractive number. Lady Marjorie Dalrymple has sent a cheque for £ 3 to purchase a gift for Otimai.
