BOY FALLS INTO JAM
SERIOUS SCALDS RECEIVED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. A small boy, John McLaughlin, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital this afternoon .suffering from severe scalds. Jam-making was in progress at the boy’s home, and he fell backward into a preserving pan of boiling jam. scalding his legs and back. His condition is serious.
