PERCENTAGE OF “TRADE-INS” The following figures are supplied by a motor trader in an inland New Zealand town for six months ended September 30, 1929: Used cars on stock March 31, 15, valued at £1,557. Used cars on stock September 30, 24, valued at £3,043. Used cars traded in lor six months, 58, valued at £6,028. New car sales, 62, valued at £18,105. Used car sales, 49, valued at £5,615. Clean sales of new cars, 19. Traded in on new cars, 43. (43 used cars were traded in on 62 new car sales.) Percentage of trade-ins on new car sales, 69 per cent. Clean sales of new cars for cash, 11 per cent, of cash sales on 62 new car sales, 17£ per cent. Clean sales of used cars for cash, 21 per cent, of cash sales on 49 used car sales, 43 per cent,. 11 cars were traded in as part payment on 58 used cars traded in. Percentage of trade-ins on trade-ins, 19 per cent. Average price of used cars sold, £ll4 13s. Comparison of value of used cars sold:
