PERSONAL. —Captain J. Rankine is at present acting-master of the Kahika. Captain Stein is temporarily in charge of the Wingatui, ifi place of Captain W. A. Gray, who is standing by at Wellington. MAI MOA DELAYED.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Maimoa, now filling up at Napier, will now leave that port this evening for London, via Panama Canal. NORFOLK DELAYED.—The New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Norfolk, at present filling up at Napier, will not leave there until Wednesday for London, via Panama Canal and Curacao. PIAKO AT HALIFAX. —The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Piako is reported to have reached Halifax on Thursday, en route from Auckland to London. She was dispatched from Auckland, via New York, on November 26. THE PORT WAIKATO.—The new motor-vessel Port Waikato is reported to have reached Port Said last Thursday, en route from Leith to New Zealand. She is a vessel of 685 tons gross and was recently built at Leith for Captain A. F. Wachlin. LUCERIC’S DATE. —A. S. Paterson and Company has received advice that the Luceric is now due at Auckland from Galveston on January 25, instead of January 19. The vessel has a sulphur cargo for Auckland, Port Kembla, Sydney, Geelong and Port Lincoln. lONIC AND PORT HOBART. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner lonic and the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Hobart are reported to have reached Panama on Thursday. Both vessels are en route from New Zealand to London. They were dispatched from Auckland, the lonic on December H and the Port Hobart the following day. PORT BRISBANE LEAVES HOME.— The C. and D. Line has been notified by cable that the Port Brisbane left London last Tuesday with general cargo to discharge at Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff:, Timaru and New Ply r mouth. The vessel is due at Lyttelton about February 7. CAMBRIDGE SAILS TODAY.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the departure of the Federal steamer Cambridge from Wellington has been postponed until this afternoon, when she will sail for London, Avon* mouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Panama Canal. THAMES RACES.—The Northern Comadvises that the Rangitoto will leave Auckland at 7' a.m. on Saturday, January 11, for Kopu, and will leave Kopu at 6.p.m. the same day for Auckland. Buses will meet the boat on arrival to take passengers to the races. Return fare is advertised at 10s. NIAGARA AT VANCOUVER. Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company the R.M.S. Niagara arrived at Vancouver at 6.15 p.m. last Friday, and leaves again on Wednesday, via Victoria, Honolulu and Suva for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on January 27 and at Sydney on February 1. PORT SYDNEY LOADING. —Yesterday morning the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Sydney arrived at Opua from Brisbane to commence her loading for Home. She is due here tomorrow evening and next Friday sails again for Waikokopu, Gisborne, Napier, Wellington and back to Napier to fill up. She is scheduled to clear Napier finally on January 31 for London, via Panama. Heather, Roberton, Limited, will act as the local agent. RUAHINE IN PORT.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine arrived at Auckland on Saturday evening from Tokomaru Bay, and berthed yesterday morning at the Queen's Wharf to continue her loading. She is to leave again on Thursday for Napier, where she completes loading, and finally departs on January 15 for Southampton and London, via Panama.

RANGITATA’S ITINERARY. Wet weather has delayed the unloading of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s motorliner Rangitata at Prince’s Wharf, and she is now to sail for Wellington on Friday to complete discharge. From Wellington the vessel will proceed to Lyttelton to commence loading for her homeward voyage, her other loading ports being Tokomaru Bay, Auckland, Napier and Wellington. She is scheduled to return to Auckland on January 22 and to sail finally from Wellington on February 1 for Southampton and London, via Panama Canal. THE CANADIAN CONQUEROR.—The Canadian National Steamships reports that the Canadian Conqueror has been delayed at Dunedin by bad weather and a shortage of labour. She will now leave there tomorrow for Timaru and Wellington, and is due at Wellington next Thursday to load for New York, Boston and Halifax. The Canadian Conqueror will leave Wellington on the following day for Napier and Auckland, and is to sail finally from Auckland on January 17. CUMBERLAND FROM LIVERPOOL. —An arrival at Auckland late on Saturday evening was the Federal steamer Cumberland from Liverpool with West of England merchandise for discharge under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She was berthed at the Queen’s Wharf yesterday morning. Her other discharging ports are Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff and Timaru. The cargo was loaded at Newport, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool. The vessel sailed from Liverpool on November 25 and experienced very stormy weather with a succession of westerly gales and high head seas during the first eight days of the voyage. Colon was reached on December 13 and Balboa was cleared the same day. Generally fair weather prevailed in the Pacific until the vessel was nearing the New Zealand Coast on Saturday, when a strong north-west wind and continuous heavy rain was encountered. Captain D. MacMillan is in command and the following are the officers: —Chief, Mr. E. A. Taylor; second, Mr. C. R. Brown; third. Mr. J. W. Bring; fourth, Mr. J. P. Pierce; wireless operator, Mr. C. Bryant; chief engineer, Mr. D. Fergerson; second, Mr. J. Fulton; third, Mr. T. Rule; fourth,- Mr. C. Davidson; fifth, Mr. W. Bedrock; sixth, Mr. A. Beanowig; seventh, Mr. J. Parkin; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. W. Saul; second, Mr. C. Morris; chief steward, Mr. S. Moore. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel about Saturday next for South. THE CORNWALL.—Now at Port Chalmers, the Federal Line steamer Cornwall will next go to New Plymouth to complete unloading cargo from "West Coast ports of Great Brttain. The vessel will also load at New Plymouth, as well as at Wanganui, Wellington, Gisborne. Napier and Auckland. She is due at Auckland about January 29, and will be dispatched for London, Liverpool, Avonmouth and Glasgow early In February. The New Zealand Shipping Company Will be the local agent.
