The engagement is announced of Sir Frederick Ponsonby’s daughter, Leolia Mary to the 2nd Duke of Westminster. The duke and his fiancee at present are yachting in the Mediterranean. The Duke owns great estates, including 600 acres in London. He is a renowned big-game hunter, yachtsman and follower of the turf. Miss Ponsonby is tall, dark, and a witty conversationalist. This will be the Duke’s third marriage. He first wed in 1901 the youngest daughter of the late Mr. W. C. Corn-wallis-West. She divorced him in 1919. The duke married again in 1920, his second wife being Violet, daughter of Sir William Nelson. She divorced him in 1926. The Duke owns about 30,000 of land in Cheshire and Flintshire, an estate in Scotland and 600 acres in London.
