GOVERNOR-GENERAL SAYS GOOD-BYE CITIZENS' FUNCTION TONIGHT Auckland will bid good-bye to their Excellencies Sir Charles and the Lady Fergusson at the citizens’ farewell, which will take place In the Town Hall this evening, when a presentation will be made. Their Excellencies will leave tomorrow evening by the Limited express for Wellington. Yesterday a deputation of the Consular Corps called, at Government House to take leave of his Excellency, and in the afternoon Sir Charles paid a farewell visit to the Veterans* Home at Mount Roskill, and also to tie Knox Home for Incurables nt Tamaki. Her Excellency was the guest or honour at a meeting of the women’s organisations of the city in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon. She was presented with a gold inkstand set in a block of rough greenstone.
