Mrs. Nelson George, of England, is at present staying with lier sister, Mrs. George McGlashan, Te Aroha. 000 Mrs. J. W. Lowe, of St. Aubyn’s Street, Devonport, with her daughter, Beatrice, left yesterday for Sydney, where they will stay for six weeks. Miss Betty Mcßae, of Palmerston North, who has been staying at the Sydney Conservatorium for the last two years, arrived in Auckland by the Maunganui, and is now visiting her home in Palmerston. BRIDGE PARTY A very jolly bridge party was taken to Miss Elsie Simmons yesterday afternoon at her home in Claudelands. Flag bridge was played, and some keen contests took place. The prizes were won by Miss Trix. Monckton, Miss Enid Hammond and Mr. Ray Hawkins. Among those present were: Miss E. Simmons, Miss K. „ Wilson, Miss A. Coventry, Miss A. Bell, Miss E. Ward, Miss N. MATAMATA NOTES Mr. C. E. Barry has joined Mrs. Barry at Waipukurau. Mr. E. L. Bartleet, is staying with friends in Matamata. Mr. and Mrs. S. Stockdale are holidaying at the Thames. The Rev.
