THE TWO BLACK CROWS The well-known gramophone artists, Moran and Mack, widely known as the “Two Black Crows,” appear in “Why Bring That Up?* the all-talk-ing production which fis now in its second week at the New Regent All the bright dialogue which the public has learned to expect from the two comedians has been included, in the picture, but in addition there is a considerable undercurrent of pathos. The two are represented asi vaudeville artists struggling to gain recognition in the theatres of New York. Eventually success comes, and they are able to launch a vaudeville* entertainment on their own account, but the two comrades, who had remained together through all the years of become estranged through *a pretty adventuress whom Moran engages as a dancing girl. Eventually, however, she is responsible for Mack being injured in a rough-and-tumble ,and Moran’s concern for his firend draws Jiim ajway from the girl, the two comrades being reunited. There is a strong supporting cast, including Evelyn Brent asnd Harry Green. The supporting programme of talking and singing featurettes is well-varied and exceptionally entertaining.

A battle between the vagabonds of\ Paris and the soldiers of Burgundy forms one of the interesting sequences in the all-colour romance, “The Vagabond King,” starring Dennis King. Jeanette MacDonald plays the leading feminine role.
