BIG TALKIE AT GRAND

To marry a man she hated and feared—or a handsome and attractive young fellow accused of murder? That was the heroine’s dilemma in one of The many highly dramatic parts of "The Isle of Lost Ships," the talkie now at the Grand Theatre. Virginia VaJli, Jason Robards and Noah Beery are featured at the head of a splendid cast. In addition to a long list of well-known principals, broken -nosd, cauliflower-eared gentry in Hollywood enact colourful bits in the Sargasso Sea episodes which play so thrilling a part in the story. From shipwreck at the beginning to escape by submarine at the end, "Th** Isle of Lost Ships” is a series of thrills for the hero and heroine. Several shorter talkie items complete the programme.
