OUT OF DAVIS CUP TENNIS
W. T. Tilden, famous American lawn tennis player, has confirmed the statement that he has decided to take no further part in Davis Cup matches for America. “I have definitely retired from Davis Cup competition, as I told Joseph W. Wear, the chairman of the United States Lawn Tennis Association, last season,” said Tilden. “While only Hunter can state definitely his intention, it is my understanding that he too has retired from the Davis Cup competition.”
