YOUNG CYCLIST HURT

SWERVE IN FRONT OF LORRY SERIOUSLY INJURED Press Association GISBORNE, Today. A young man, Christopher Jobsou, returning from the pictures at Tolaga Bay late last evening, was injured seriously when his cycle swerved in front of an overtaking lorry driven by Dave Tautau. The injured man evidently' heard the approaching lorry, which left the crown of the road to pass him, but failed to avoid a collision when Jobson also swerved. Jobson’s condition was reported to be serious today and his injuries are believed to include a fractured skull and a broken arm.
