ATHLETE’S BOMBSHELL

PELTZER’S RACES ABROAD LIMITED TWO AUSTRALIAN EVENTS United F. A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 11.15 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. Dr. Otto Peltzer, the famous German athlete, dropped a bombshell into athletic circles on his arrival today by

announcing that he could run only in two races in Australia. This was a German regulation, he said, and could not be broken. He had run two races in Manila and had four left, one of which he would like to run in New Zealand. The fourth would be in America. The attitude of his association was that visitors were imposed upon too much, and told when and where to run, to their detriment.
