NEW REGENT
“WHY BRING THAT UP?” Moran and Mack, known as the popular gramophone recording artists "Two Black Crows,” are seen in their first talking picture. “Why Bring That Up?” which is commencing today its second week at the New Regent Theatre. In this film Moran and Mack appear in a stage partnership, with Harry Green as their manager. Moran creates a lot of amusement by a love affair he has with a scheming chorus girl (played by Evelyn Brent), and there are countless complications before he is released from a compromising position. Harry Green gives the film a wealth of excellent Yiddish humour, and there is also a liberal filling of the clever “wise-cracks” of the two funsters. Selected supports accompany “Why Bring That Up?” including songs by Jack Lumsdaine. At the afternoon matinees the programme Includes the presentation of “The Kiddies’ Kabaret,” a production by Misses Beryl Nettleton and Marjorie Turner. Thirty children, take part in this gorgeous pantomime.
