ROXY
“THE GIRL IN THE SHOW” Bessie Love, the charming actress who appeared with notable success in “The Broadway Melody,” has ample scope for the exercise of her varied ability in “The Girl in the Show,” the mam feature of the big all-talking programme which is now at the Roxv Theatre. Her attractive singing voice is heard to advantage and she also appears in many skilfully-staged dance numbers Some interesting sidelights on theatrical life are given in the picture which deals with the experiences of a travelling musical comedy troupe Other members of the cast are Baymond Hackett and Mary Doran, both ol whom are admirably suited to the parts they portray. A fine programme of shorter supporting features is shown.
