CHINAMAN 252 YEARS OLD ESPERANTO PAPER’S DISCOVERY The world's oldest man lias been discovered in China. He is 252 years of age, and has outlived 23 wives. This statement is made in the latest issue of the “Esperanto Herald,” the Esperanto paper which has correspondents in 43 countries, by the China correspondent. Li Cin-Jin is the name of the man over whose bead two and a-hal£ centuries have passed. He was born in 1678, and in his youth he was a chemist. Despite his great age he enjoys good health, and has a good appetite. He walks with the firm step of a man in the prime of life, and is living happily with his present wife, who is 60 years of age. Zara Agha, who was 139 years of age, and who was killed some months ago, was reputedly the world’s oldest man at the time of his death, but if the “Esperanto Herald’s” correspondent is correct he was not entitled to the claim. Another issue of the Esperanto paper stated that the Berlin International Advertising Association, which operates in 18 countries, has decided to make the use of Esperanto customary for advertising purposes. The leading Hungarian advertising paper, “Reklam Elet,” is reported to have recommended the use of Esperi auto after the experiences at the EsI peranto Conference at Budapest, when the "universal language” was used in all public places.
