ilr. Percy Herman, who has been on a business visit to Sydney, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. , ' a Mr. K. Asher, a well-known Sydney solicitor, arrived by tho Maunganui this morning to spend a holiday in Xew Zealand. Captain McDougall, harbourmaster at Timaru, returned from Australia this norning by the Maunganui. He was accompanied by Mrs. McDougall. Messrs. J. W. Hyland. N. Matheson. .1. D. Falla and G. T. Paterson will leave for Christchurch by train tonight. They are tho Auckland delegates to tho annual conferenco of the Presbyterian Young Men’s Bible Class Union, to bo held on January 3 and 4.
