Stroking an Auckland crew, J. Bygate romped home in the junior fours at Tauranga. C. Haifa, who won the handicap single sculls on the Whau last season, repeated his success, sculling a great race off the Bsec mark to beat th/e New Zealand champion, W. Turner (scr.) by three lengths.
