CENTRE FIXTURE INTER SECTION PLAY With greens running fast and true*, good bowling was witnessed on the Carlton green yesterday, when the Christmas bowling tournament held by the Auckland Centre was advanced another stage. Three rounds of intersection play were concluded, after which 11 skips remained in the competition. At the end of the das*. E. Wright, Carter, and Jenkin had two lives, and the remainder one life. After two rounds, Best (Ponsonbj*), Dick (Grey Lynn), Gifford (Dominion Road), Russell (Remuera). and MacCullay (Grey Lynn) retired, and after the third round Macfarlane (Remuera), Hosking (Carlton), Short (Pukckohe). de Launay (Epsom), and Muston (Auckland).
