WASHAWAYS ON RAILWAY LINE MANY BRIDGES GONE Reccl. 10.55 a.m. MELBOURNE, Today. Further reports of the rains in Cential Australia show that washaways at intervals extending over 450 miles of the north-south railway have made the services impossible. All connection with tlie settlements has been severed. Torrential rains caused floods unparalleled in the history of the railAt Marree, the foundation of the line was washed away for several miles. Many bridges have been destroyed.
