AUCKLAND CRICKET REPS

“Fairplay” writes: How was the Auckland cricket representative team selected? It was not picked on the season’s match play, as the averages of some of the players show. I saw every representative practice, and know it could not have been selected from that. Three of the 12 chosen did not attend the nets at all. Three others attended once. As far as the selectors are concerned, only one took any interest in the practices. I think it is time keen selectors were appointed, who would pick only keen players, and the game would go ahead.
