INTOXICATED DRIVER
LORRY-MAN LOSES LICENCE ALSO FINED £ls Press Association GISBORNE. Friday. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning a lorry driver, Albert Edward Simpson, pleaded guilty of being found in charge of a lorry at an early hour ' in the morning while in a state of intoxication. The police stated that i accused was convicted of a similar offence in Auckland on May IS. 1927, and his licence was then cancelled for two years. The magistrate said the offence was serious and accused did not appear to take notice of the previous warning. Accused was fined £ls and his licence cancelled and he was declared unfit to hold a licence for two years.
FARMER FINED £lO CASE AT INVERCARGILL .Pressl Association INVERCARGILL, Friday. In the Police Court this morning Andrew Moirs, a farmer, residing at . Morton Mains, was charged with being found in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor-car on the north road. A fine of £lO was imposed.
