Constance Bennett an.d Edmund Lowe will have the leading roles in “This Thing Called Love,” a production which has been started at the Pathe studios. Others* in- the cast include Zasu Pitts, Roscoe Karns, Carmelita Geraghty.
“The Silver King,” the British film in which Percy Marmont is seen, is being shown in the United States. This picture is a modernised version of Henry Arthur Jones's famous old play.
Ramon Navarro's forthcoming film has finally been titled “Devil May Care,” a name that may go through many revisions before the film is finally released. The cast includes Dorothy Jordon, John Miljau ajid Marion Harris.
Sixty Hawaiian dancers will enact important roles in Allan Dwan’s forthcoming picture, “South Sea Rose.” It took an intensive search for the right type of dancers that Dwan wanted for the picture, but through his perseverance Dwan assembled a group noted for their grace and beauty.
Jack Dempsey will not be in Warner’s "Show of Shows.” Despite Jack’s urbanity and natural friendly spirits, he lost the job of master of ceremonies in this screen revue because his voice is too high in pitch to match his ’size.
Two principal song hits from Warner Brothers’ Vitaplione play, “Is Everybody Happy?” have been recorded by Ted Lewis, the star, foi the Columbia Gramophone Company. The songs are, “Wouldn't It Be Wonderful?” and “I’m the Medicine Man for the Blues.”
The Graf Zeppelin was “shot” by motion picture cameramen soon after its arrival at Los Angeles. The scenes will be embodied in Tiffany-Stahl’s alldialogue production, “The Lost Zeppelin.” Conway Tearle, Virginia Valli and Ricardo Cortez will play the foature roles.
John Barrymore’s next all-talking Fitaphone vehicle will be “The Man,” according to announcement Of J. L. Warner. Barrymore, who recently completed “General Crack,” is now busy on “Show of Shows,” a scene from Shakespeares' “Richard the Third.”
