SPECIAL THEATRE BUILT
A newly-completed theatre in Hollywood produces pictures which are not advertised, operates without box-office or 'ushers and refuses admission to the public. The strange theatre is the latest addition to the film production equipment of Paramount studios, specially constructed for the production of “Pointed Heels,” a new Paramount alltalking picture, featuring William Powell and Fay Wray. The new theatre is being used for an elaborate ballet and show girl spectacle to be incorporated in ‘‘Pointed Heels.” The famous Albertina. Rasch Pallet is featured in the show sequences. The audience will be paid extras, carefully selected to portray an authentic first-night crowd. ' Pointed Heels.” w hich was adapted from the original story by Charles Brackett, is mainly a dramatic play, but contains one lavish theatre sequence in which the principals appear in the audience. The supporting cast includes Helen Kane. Richard “Sheets” Gallagher, Eugene Pallette and Adrien .Dore. A. Edward Sutherland is directing.
