YESTERDAY’S RACING—WONDERFUL. Words fail to adequately describe the thrills experienced by patrons at Alexandra Park yesterday. Every one of the eight events provided a splendid finish. The three feature events surpassed anticipation. Gold Jacket's Cup proved a memorable contest. The field dashed round the straight entrance in such close formation that every one of 10 horses were being proclaimed the winner, until amid a tumult of cheering the local champion passed the post the victor. The Derby also was a magnificent race, and provided a finish which will be long remembered. After a neck-and-neck struggle, three brilliant three-year-olds went past the post to a finish only the Judge could decide. The Rowe Cup, the people's favourite race, saw 10 champion horses give a brilliant exhibition of trotting, and again it took the Judge to decide the winner.
