TWO TALKIES Two most enjoyable talkies were presented at the Roxy Theatre last evening and will be screened there again this evening. The chief attraction is “High Voltage.” a 3trong dramatic story with William Boyd giving one of his fine characterisations. The story concerns the amazing experiences of a party marooned in a lonely country hut during a. big snowstorm. The parti' includes a fugitive from justice, a detective and a woman prisoner in his charge. t During the storm the ex-convict takes charge and rations the others. He plans to help the girl escape and in this the detective helps them, admiring their courage and character, but at the last moment a search party arrives by airplane. This picture, which is an all-talkie, includes several remarkable ice and snow views. Phyllis Haver, the beautiful blonde actress, is the star of the second big feature, entitled “The Shady Lady.” RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM In her latest film. “Wild Orchids,” now at the Rialto (Newmarket) and Regent (Epsom) Theatres, Greta Garbo plays the role of a white woman in Java. The second feature is “The Marriage Bond,” starring Norman Kerry, Sally Eilers and Jaaoa Roberds.
