PLAZA AND TIVOLI
“THE FOUR FEATHERS” “So, ’ere’s to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzzy, at your 'ome in the Sudan. You’re a pore benighted 'eathen, but a firstclass fightin’ man.” It is against this background that has been made famous by Kipling that the major portion of the action and the story of “The Four Feathers” takes place. The flowered lanes of old England and the glory of a British review of troops provide a sharp contrast and a background for the glorious romance of this picture, which continues to delight audiences at both the Plaza (Queen Street) and Tivoli (Karangahape Road) Theatres. A strong cast interprets the story William A. Powell, Clive Brook, Richard Arlen, Fay Wray and Noah Beery sustaining the principal roles. The supporting talkie items include a gazette in sound, a comedy, a talkie? . and singing scena, “Hawaiian Nights,’ and a particularly amusing sketch, with songs by Elsie Janis, the London and New York musical comedv star.
