SWIMMING RECORD BROKEN
AUSTRALIANS IN GOOD FORM Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Ryan and Griffiths, the Australian swimmers, appeared at a carnival in the tepid baths last evening. They won all their races with apparent ease. Griffiths swam an exhibition race over 220yds paced by relays of local swimmers. He covered the distance in 2m 27 l-ss, cutting 1 4-5 s off D. P. Lindsay’s record.
