YOUTH FALLS FROM HORSE COMPANION REACHES SHORE Press Association HOKITIKA, Today While crossing the upper Arahura River on Saturday evening, Stanley Paterson, aged 19 years, who was double-banking a horse, was thrown into the water owing to the saddle girth giving way. His companion reached the shore, but Paterson was drowned, his body being recovered on Sunday morning.
