“GOD’S WORD DENIED”
DR. OLIVER AND EVOLUTION The theory of evolution was denounced by the evangelist, Dr. French' E. Oliver, of Los Angeles, in his closing address, “Creation or Evolution?” delivered in Scots Hal) to a large audience last evening. Dr. Oliver’s series of addresses was conducted under the Back-to-the-Bible Conference. Dr. Oliver said the theory of evolution had been overworked. Its followers believed that, were they to be considered scholars, they should begin with gross denials of the word of God.
Spontaneous generation was a belief of evolutionists. If this were correct, it simply meant there was a creation without a creator. Anything which would dismiss God from the universe was believed by evolutionists, Dr. Oliver said. The theory they followed was part of the battle between heaven and hell. The blood test alone could break the back of evolution, declared the spea.ker, wlio asked why doctors went to human beings, and not to apes, when blood transfusion was necessary.
