UNIQUE LIGHTING FIXTURES

Wonderful Designs Tt is difficult to express in words the character of the lighting fixtures for the Civic Theatre. Never before In New Zealand has there been such exquisite examples of craftsmanship

as are depicted in these handsome bronze creations. The manufacturers, Wm. Bedford, Ltd., 476 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, Victoria, together with their architects, have achieved a veritable triumph in reproducing fittings so closely allied to the Indian period. Tlie effects are startling. To see stately elephants apparently functioning under normal surround-

ings, sinister cobras, monkeys, alligators, peacocks and the mystic Buddha is most startling in its realism, and, with all, not one percentage of lighting efficiency is lost because of this clever modelling. It may be safely said that these fittings. are equal to the best turned out in the world and certainly superior to anything seen in Australasia. Wm Bedford> Ltd > la>

of course, well known, as this firm has manufactured the electric fittings for all the principal theatres in Australasia for many years. The Civic is the biggest triumph of their very successful career. They declare that the secret of their success in this theatre is the wonderful co-operation in design by the architects, Messrs. Bohringer, Taylor and Johnson Pty., Ltd.
