H UIA SAILED. —Mr. C. E. Campbell advises that the Nobel Explosive Company’s auxiliary schooner Huia cleared Greymouth yesterday for Melbourne. INDIEN LEAVES LOS ANGELES. — The Union Company reports that the Indien, with Pacific Coast cargo, left Los Angeles on December 18 for Auckland,, Wellington and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on January 10.
MAKURA AT SAN FRANCISCO. —The Union Company advises that the Makura, 1 from Wellington, arrived at San Fran- i cisco yesterday. The vessel is scheduled to leave again on December 25 for Papeete, Raratonga, Wellington and Sydney, and is due at "Wellington on January 13. MAHENO REPORTS. The Union Company yesterday received a wireless message from the Maheno, which left Melbourne on Tuesday for Wellington, reporting that she expected to arrive at 7 a.m. tomorrow. The Maheno will leave again on Monday for Melbourne, via Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. . LONDON TO BLUFF. —The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Remuera, after loading at London, will leave Southampton on January 17 for Auckland, Port Chalmers and Bluff. The last-mentioned port has been lately added to the vessel’s ports of discharge. She is due at Auckland on February 24. { RANGITANE FOR NEW ZEALAND.— The New Zealand Shipping Company’s new motor-liner Rangitane, from London, was scheduled to clear Southampton yesterday with passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand. The cargo is for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on January 22 and at Auckland about January 29. The : Rangitane is the third of the three new j motor-liners that were ordered by the ■ New Zealand Shipping Company. The i Rangitiki has already made two voyages : to New Zealand and the Rangitata is on I her maiden voyage and is scheduled to j reach Auckland on December 30.

ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. -—The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa, according to cable advice received, left Svdnev for Auckland at midday yesterday with 362 passengers, as well as mail and cargo. The vessel is due on Tuesday morning and owing to the Christmas holidays she » s to sa‘l on her return trip to Sydney next Saturday morning, instead of Friday, her usual sailing day.
MATAROA TO LOAD.—The -Shaw. Savill and Albion Company reports that its liner Mataroa, at present putting out the remainder of her London cargo at Auckland, is to start*Homeward loading ,at Auckland next Friday. She will leave Auckland on December 30 for further loading at Picton, Gisborne, Napier and Wellington. The Mataroa is due at Wellington on January 11, and will leave there on January 15 for Southampton and London, via Panama Canal.
PORT HARDY POSTPONED. Advice has been received from the Farmers Co-op. Auctioneering Company that the departure of the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Hardy, which is completing her loading at Auckland, has been postponed until Monday afternoon. The vessel leaves here for Halifax and London via Panama, and the following passengers have booked to travel by her:—Dr. and Mrs. D. K. parr and three children, Mrs. E. J. Barr, the Rev. Beaufort, Misses Hutchison (2), Mrs. M. E. Tripe, Mr. A. C. Tripe, jun., Miss R. M. Morris, Miss K. A. G. Brown. FERN DALE TO LOAD.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Aberdeen anti Commonwealth Line oil-burning steamer Ferndale has been engaged by the former company to load in New Zealand for London. She is due at Timaru on January 16 from Cairns (Queensland) to commence loading. The ship will subsequently load also at Lyttelton, Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland. She will sail finally from Auckland on February 5 for London, via Panama Canal. The Ferndale is a fast oil-burning steamer of 9,760 tons gross register, commanded by Captain J. Beighton. She and the Fordsdale were specially built for the Commonwealth Government Line, and were acquired with the “Bay” steamers by the Aberdeen-Commonwealth. Line.
