MOTHERS’ CLUB
FINAL SOCIAL EVENING LARGE ATTENDANCE Tlie Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. held its Anal social evening for the year in the club rooms on Wednesday. The meetings, which have been held weekly, now remain in abeyance until the middle of February. The rooms had been delightfully arranged with bowls of pink roses and ferns. In the unavoidable absence of the president, Mrs. Gaughan and Mrs. Hynes, vice-presidents, acted as chairwomen. Mrs. Gaughan was wearing a draped frock of'black silk, with a diamente buckle and blue shoulder flower.
Mrs Hynes was in a black georse“e fr ,°, ck ' Wlth silver embroidery. tar5 rS i F' F' Baker - assistant secretary, had chosen a becoming frock of peacock blue shot taffeta, with a diamente buckle and a large nink shoulder rose.
Among those present were: Mrs. Hoy, Who wore blue silk ravon with a pale pink shoulder spray; Mrs a' Milne, green crepe de chine? Mrs £' „ ey \T lack J satin beaute. trhnmed with lemon. Mrs. F. A. Hawkery, brown satin and diamente; Mrs. Jissup, new blue beige silk; Mrs. Merson, almond green crepe de chine and silk lace; Mrs. Isserwood, floral crepe de chine; Mrs. Peckham. navy blue crepe de chine, with floral trimmings; Mrs. W. J. Edwards black satin frock, encrusted with silver beads; Mrs. F. Pearson, moonlight blue floral crepe de chine: Mrs. W. Mornsen apricot georgette period frock; Mrs. Herbert Shaw, black crepe de chine and lemon georgette; Mrs. Judd, black silk bengalme and ecru lace; Mrs. W. Goldie black velvet frock and embroidered shawl; Mrs. Kyle, beige crepe de chine and ring velvet.
Miss Joanne Kyle was in white and blue organdi picture frock; Miss Ivy Jamieson, white satin beaute, with a lime accordion-pleated frill* Miss V Pankhurst, delphinium blue ' shot taffeta* with uneven hemline; Miss B. Russell* green crepe de chine, headed in silver* and oriental shawl; Miss Y. Hoy, nink silk rayon; Miss Ramsey, lemon silk and diamente; Miss Helen E. Lietz, green crepe de chine, with pointed skirt, bound with salmon; Miss May Judd, lime georgette, with shoulder cape; Miss Agnes Bryant, floral crepe de chine; Miss Rona Edwards, lemon taffeta period frock, embroidered with mauve; Miss F. Peckham, navy blue silk, relieved with touches of red; Miss Mavis Hawkey, powder blue crepe de chine.
