No. 1), 3s; Auckland Gas. 42 1 4s lid; New Zealand Refrigerating (.con), 4s 6d; Kuala Karnpar Tin, 9s. At the morning early call: Bank of N«w Zealand, 22 218 s Gd: South British Insurance. £3 2s: Kauri Timber, 15s 9d: British Tobacco, 22 2 5s 3d: Mount Lyell, 22 1 18s Gd. At the midday call: Bank of New Zealand, £2 ISs Gd: Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering, 22 3 18s; British Tobacco, £2 5s 3d. Market at Midday Insurance scrip is somewhat neglected. National are offered at 15s Gd and are unsupported. New Zealand have steady buyers at 44s Gd, sellers now 45s Gd. Queensland arc unsupported. South British have sold at 625, leaving the market unchanged. Coal section remain firm. Hikurangi are again active, many buyers appearing. Pukemiro are slightly weaker. Renown, both pref. issues, remain firm. Taupiri are unsupported. Numerous buyers have appeared for timber shares. Bartholomew are in demand at 21s. Kauri have buyers at 15s. no sellers. Leyland-O’Brien have steady buyers at 2Ss, no sellers appearing. National also have steady j buyers.
Local body debentures and Government securities remain firm, many buyers quoting. Hikurangi Coal According to advice received from the company, the breaking out of coal for the market will be resumed at the Hikurangi Coal Company's property after Christmas. The mine was flooded by a sudden inrush of water during February of this year. Fuller-Hayward Dividend Owing to the extra expense involved in the installation of “sound” picture plants, the directors of Hayward’s Pictures and of Fuller’s Pictures, which are associated under the name of New Zealand Picture Supplies, Limited, announce that it has been decided not to pay the interim dividend usually paid at this time of the year. In a notice to shareholders to this effect the directors express the intention to pay the total of the interim and final dividends, 9 per cent., at the end of the present financial year.
