MEMORIAL AT SKYROS TO RUPERT BROOKE

Reed. 10 a.m. CAIRO, Thursday. An international memorial is being raised at the burial place of Rupert Brooke, the English poet, on the island of Skyros.

The Prime Minister of Greece, M. Eleutherios Venizelos, Sir Percy Loraine, British High Commissioner in Egypt, Mr. John Drinkwater, Mr, John Galsworthy and M. Andre Maurois are patrons of the scheme. A sum of £3OO has already been subscribed in Greece, where Brooke is regarded as another Byron.
