A Sweet Singer Says “Kia Ora”
Miss Stella Murray, tcho possesses a magnificent contralto voice was born in Christchurch. London critics have written glowingly of her ability, and she has made many successful appearances in the Empire Metropolis, and the provinces.
THE hospitality one meets with in England Is astounding. English people make wonderful and lasting friends. They never forget one. But still, with all this, I never forget dear little New Zealand. It is always a joy to see any of my own countryfolk over here. When this reaches you it will be almost Christmas and I would love my friends in the Dominion to know that my thoughts will be with them. It is a different Christmas tliat we have here to those in New Zealand. There wo had the sunshine and blue skies and lots of bathing and tennis, while here we have snow and frost, but somehow it seems to fit in with the general scheme of things. lam looking forward to visiting New Zealand again soon, and perhaps making a short tour. Unfortunately, iu my profession, one must not be away too long. STELLA MURRAY
