“I Think Enviously of Sunshine”

Many honours Have been won by Miss Marie Ney, the brilliant Mew Zealand-born actress, who last appeared in the Dominion in support of Miss Marti Tempest. In addition to many London successes Miss Ney was chosen to play leading roles in a company specially selected to appear before the King of Egypt and to play a season in Cairo. WILL you convey my greetings to your readers? I should like some New Zealand sunshine in return. When the snow falls here and the gardens are white and the robin’s red coat shows redder against the white snow and the Yule log burns, it’s all very Christmassy, and like the best Christmas cards. But it usually rains at Christmas, and the robins don’t look so red against the pulpy mud. Sunshine in New Zealand! I think enviously. MARIE NEY
