POLO MATCH DRAWN

MATANGI V. WAIHOU From Our Own Correspondent TE AROHA, Wednesday. There was a large attendance at the show grounds, Te Aroha, today, to witness the polo match, Matangi v to witness the polo match Matangi v. Waihou, which was very evenly contested throughout, both sides displaying brilliancy which evoked the plaudits of the assemblage. Eight spells were played, and the game ended in a draw, with four goals each. The scorers were Chitty (3) and Bryant, for Matangi, and McNicol (3) and Burke for Waihou. The Matangi players were Ranstead, Chitty, Hinton, and Bryant, while Waihou was represented by T. Hines, A. McNicol, A. Wight, and M. Burke. In the final spell W. Ranstead had a shoulder dislocated, and was attended to by Br. Dempster. Messrs. Blennerhasset and X. Spence officiated at referees. Wailiou being the cup holder, the trophy will be retained by the club pending further challenges. _
