FOUR BURNED TO DEATH

CHILDREN TRAPPED IN LOCKED ROOM AUSTRALIAN TRAGEDY Reed. 10 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. A message from Albury states that trapped in the locked room of their home at Coppabella Station, four children, the oldest aged four years, and the youngest five months, were burned to death. The whole countryside was horrified at the appalling tragedy. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Graham. The father works half a mile distant and the mother had occasion to visit him, so she locked the children in the room for safety. A drover passing the house some time later saw it burning fiercely. He made frenzied efforts to break in, but the terrific heat made it impossible. Charred almost beyond recognition, the bodies of the three elder children were found huddled in one corner. The body of the baby has not been recovered. No explanation of tbe file can be given.
