CHRISTCHURCH EARTHQUAKES Special to THE SUN CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Three distinct earthquake shock? were registered at the Christchurch Observatory yesterday morning, the last and most intense occurring at 3.38 a.m., New Zealand standard time. According to the seismograph, the point of origin of the disturbance was a little more than 120 miles away, a similar distance as that to the place of origin of the Buller earthquake.
