THAMES RECEDING
FLOOD DANGERS PASSING LONDON, Monday. Floods in the Thames Valley continued to recede rapidly today. A fall of over one foot in the river during the last 24 hours has been recorded at Molessey Lock, and the rate of flow also shows a big reduction. High tide passed this afternoon leaving a big margin of safety on the Thames embankment where flooding occurred last year.
