PETROL TANK EXPLODES
WOMAN FATALLY BURNED IN VICTORIA MAN’S HEROIC RESCUES Reed. 11 a.m. MELBOURNE, Today. The explosion of a petrol tank attached to a house-lighting system at Poowong, caused the death of Mrs. McWhinney and injury to four others, Thomas Reynier heroically rescued these from the burning building, but Mrs. McWhinney’s charred remains were found later. The house was destroyed.
