Tforton. who has been on fi business trip to Australia, returned to Auckland this morning by the Marama. Mr. H. M. Mailer and Mr. G. C. Marker, of Auckland, returned from a business trip to Australia on the Marama this morning. The Rev. I s ?. O. White, of Dargaville, accompanied by Mrs. White, returned by the Niagara yesterday after a trip abroad. Th© Right Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, is expected to leave for Eng and to attend the Lambeth Confcrerce early in February. Mr. Harcourt Andrews, a Sydney dental surgeor , arrived by the Marama this morning on a holiday visit to Auckland. II? was accompanied by Mrs. Andrews Mr. Stanley Grant, manager for the j. r. Williamson "Whoopee” company, arrived from Sydney by the Marama this morning and is staying at the Metropolitan lotel. Captain J. U>. Gray, master mariner with the How; rd Smith Shipping Company. arrived from Sydney this morning hy th© Marama and will visit relatives in Whar garei. Canon Langford Smith, of Sydney, arrived at Auckland on the Marama this morning r.nd will spend six months in New Zealand. He is accompanied by his wife and two sons. Mr. Barrington Miller, formerly of Gisborne, and now of London, who is returning to England after a visit to New Zealand and Australia, is a through passenger on the Niagara. Dr. H. Waldon Fitzgerald, of Dunedin. who has been pursuing medical studies in London, returned to New Zealand today as ship’s doctor on the Mah&mt. He intends leaving for his home immediately. Mr. F. O. Ross, of London, is revisiting New Zealand after 20 years. He arrived in Auckland this morning on the Mahana on a four months’ holiday trip. Mr. J. M. Knox, of the Colonial Sugar Company, who has been on a holiday visit to Australia, returned to Auckland by the Marama this morning. Mr. Thomas K. Miller, North Island superintendent of the Northern Assurance Company, returned to Auckland this morning by the Marama aJter a business and holiday visit to Australia.
