THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. Reported to have reached Colon last Saturday the Canadian National stea fcer Canadian Highlander is en route from Montreal to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about January 12. TOFUA AT SUVA.—Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island passenger steamer Tofua arrived at Suva this morning from Apia, Samoa. She is to leave the Fijian port at noon tomorrow for Auckland, where she is expected early next Monday morning. CALLANDIA TO STREAM.—Having completed discharge of her cargo of petroleum products from Port Arthur (Texas) and Los Angeles, the steamer Callandia was to leave her berth at Western Wharf at 11 o’clock this morning and go to an anchorage in the stream. Her future movements have not yet been announced. MAH AN A ARRIVES.—This morning the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Mahana arrived at Auckland from Liverpool, and later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Company. On Saturday she leaves for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. BENCRUACHAN'S ITINERARY ALTERED.—Advice liafe been received that Geo. H. Scales Company’s chartered steamer Bencruachan, which arrived at Picton last Saturday from Port Pirie to commence loading, now leaves tonight for Tologa Bay, thence Wellington, Timaru and Dunedin, to complete her loading. She is scheduled to sail finally from the Otago port on January S for Dunkirk, Hull and London, via Panama. PORT HARDY IN PORT.—Yestei'day evening the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Hardy arrived at Auckland from Tokomaru Bay and berthed at the Central Wharf to complete loading under the agency of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel from this port next Saturday for Halifax and London, via Panama. FALSTERBO FROM PORT ARTHUR. —An arrival in the stream this morning was the Swedish motor-ship Falsterbo with a cargo of petroleum products from Port Arthur (Texas). The vessel was to berth at Western Wharf shortly after 11 a.m., following the Callandia, which was to go to an anchorage in the stream. After discharging the local portion of her cargo the Falsterbo is to be dispatched later for Wellington, Lyttelton and Australian ports to complete. A. G. Frankham, Ltd., is the local agent for the vessel. NIAGARA DEPARTS.—In continuation of her voyage from Sydney, the Union Company’s R.M.S. OTOKIA SAILS TOMORROW.—The Union Company’s tanker Otokia undocks tomorrow and then proceeds to San Pedro where she will load another cargo of fuel oil for Wellington. CORINTH 1C REPORTED. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Corinthic is reported to have reached Panama last Saturday, en route from Wellington to London. She was dispatched from Wellington on November 22. NORFOLK SAILS. —Early this after - ternoon the Federal steamer Norfolk left Auckland for Gisborne, thence Wellington and Napier, to complete her loading for Home. She is to be dispatched finally from Napier on December 27 for London, via Panama. WAIRUNA TO DOCK.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the Wairuna leaves Lyttelton tomorrow for Dunedin, thence New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. At this port the vessel docks for cleaning and painting before proceeding to Fiji to load for the Pacific Coast. MAUI POMARE ARRIVES.—The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare arrived at Auckland this morning from Norfolk Island and berthed at the King’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. Spedding, Limited, the local agents, hope to dispatch the vessel on December 31 for Niue Island, and Apia, Samoa. NARBADA LEAVES SINGAPORE.— Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Narbada, from Calcutta and Penang, left Singapore on Friday morning for Samarang, to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about January 1. MATAROA LEAVES WELLINGTON. —Advice received by A. S. Paterson and Company states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Mataroa left Wellington at 4.45 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due tomorrow to complete her discharge of London cargo and to commence loading for her return voyage. She will berth at the Queen’s Wharf. HERMINIUS LEAVES SYDNEY. — According to cable advice received by L. D. Nathan and. Company, the steamer Herminius, en route from Bunbury with a cargo of Australian hardwoods for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, left Sydney at 6 p.m. last Saturday for this port, where she is due on Thursday morning. She has been allotted a berth at the King’s Wharf. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY.—An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama from Sydney. She later berthed at the Prince’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left Sydney last Friday afternoon, and experienced fair weather for the trip across the Tasman Sea. NORTHERN COMPANY’S SAILINGS. —The Northern Company advises that ©wing to Christmas holidays several alterations have been, made i i the running of their vessels: — The Ronaki is to be dispatched for Tauranga tomorrow, and also on Friday. The Apanui is to leave Auckland for Farenga and Northern ports at 9 p.m. on Thursday. She will return to Auckland next Tuesday. Cargo for the eteamt: Will be received tomorrow The Clansman is to leave for Russell and Northern port?? on Friday. She i* due back at Auckland next Tuesday morning. On December 26 at 7 p.m. she will leave for Russell with passengers for the Russell regatta, but she will not make a trip further North until December 28. The Clansman is also to leave Auckland on a daylight trip to Great Barrier h.t 9 a.m. next Tuesday, and will return to Auckland the same night. The Apanui will leave for the Great Barrier at midnight on Monday. December 30, and will return to Auckland on the evening of Tuesday, December 31. The Rangitoto will leave on a daylight trip to the Great Barrier at 8 a_ir. on January 3, and will return to Auckland the same evening. Afterward the Rangitoto will replace the Apanui in the service, and will make a daylight trip to the Great Barrier every Thursday, leying Auckland at 8 a.m. and returns from the island the same evening. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURES SATURDAY XGAPUHI (5.45 p.m.), 703 tons, Bark for New Plymoi th. HOKIANGA (6 p.m.) 271 tons, Kennedy for Hokianga. NGAPUHI, due from New Flymoudr * 1 7.30 a.m. tomorrow, is scheduled to leave for the same port at 4 o’clock on Trurday afternoon.
