CARNERA NOT WANTED
PROTEST AGAINST FIGHT IN ENGLAND “A PRIMITIVE GIANT” United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. Mr. James Douglas, editor of the “Sunday Express,” writes in his paper as follow:—“As a citizen I call on the Home Secretary, Mr. J. R. dynes, to forbid Camera from fighting in the Albert Hall. A primitive giant like Camera, who is incapable of selfcontrol, should not be permitted to box for gate-money. You might as well sell tickets for a fight between a man-eating tiger and a cow. He might kill his opponent, or the referee, or one of his seconds.” The Karl of Lonsdale, in an interview published in the same paper, speaking for the Boxing Board of Control, says: "We should not put him in the ring. He does not conform to our ideas of how a fighting man should behave.’’
