SWIMMING AT SHORE

CANOE-MEN HELP GALA Narrow Neck Beach was selected by the North Shore Swimming Club for the holding of its gala on Saturday afternoon, the first that the club has organised in the 1929-30 season As an additional attraction, the Wakatere Canoe Club held a race for sailing canoes. The beach, looking very much improved ae a result of the new sea-wall and esplanade built by the Devonport Borough Council, was crowded with spectators, and several big tankers. 1 heading down channel, added to the brightness of the scene.
