GAINING a decisive two-point win—the only one of the day—Ellerslie drew level with the Suburban Association championship leaders. Green Kane, in the third series of matches concluded under ideal conditions on the Domain on Saturday. With the prospect of draws in each of the three games, because of the compulsory abandonment after an hour's play the previous week, it was a day of run-srettinc against time, some exceptional batting performances wore produced.

His 106 included 16 fours and j
four sixes. He was also in great bowling form, capturing three wickets for seven runs. The Ponsonby batsman. Edmonds, was the second century-maker, reaching his 100 about 10 minutes after Watts. His was a sparkling exhibition of driving and leg glances, his 109 including ten fours. It took Breese, of Harbour Board, nearly two hours to put <»n 75 to bring his last week’s total to 100 not out. He did not seem comfortable against Green Lane’s bowling and many of his off drives lacked power and crispness.
